Building with AI Code

In high school, our driver's ed had a Porsche 928. That's what I learned to drive stick shift on – not exactly a beginner's vehicle. After enough time behind the wheel though, there was a moment where it all started to click.

I'd stalled enough times to know exactly where the clutch engages and when to downshift. I knew it took some extra oomph to shift into reverse. By the time I was ready to take out my own little Plymouth Horizon, I instinctively knew what to do, even though it was a completely different vehicle.

Coding with AI has totally changed my approach to solving problems and getting complicated projects done. Like that newfound feeling of freedom on the open road; I'm confident that I can get from point A to B because I not only know, but can feel how to shift the gears to get it done.

If you've seen me in the past few weeks you know I've been spending most of my personal development time building rad stuff with Claude Code:

  • Completed an emergency site migration including all the emails and forms in under four hours.

  • Built an Archive of our Slack community with dynamic AI search for summarizing and surfacing the most relevant chats.

  • Have started taking these learnings and applying them to systems at work which is helping our clients.

Things that used to take weeks are now taking weekends; and the best part, it's wicked fun.

If you're just getting started, join the #build channel for some inspiration. Watch our Claude Code Along starting with our first session: Getting started with Claude Code and Github.

2026 is going to be a year of building. What ideas do you have in mind? Jump into Slack and share with the Community.
