If you and I had a chance to chat at bSEO, please know I'm crazy grateful we got to spend time together. I get pulled in a lot of directions and try to make each chat (short as they can sometimes be) really count.
This was my first time leading a brightonSEO training, and I am SO grateful y'all put your trust in me. We had a fantastic time together, and I look forward to spending more time with you on your journey.
The content this year at the conference was great. I listened for interesting questions and tried to hear new ways of approaching problems.
I was rewarded this year with a number of insights.
I also heard that the more things change, the more they stay the same. I've only been going to these conferences for a decade, but it seems like the core problem has been, and will likely continue to be, people problems created by how teams of people come together and either work well to achieve common goals OR fail to do so.
This is 100% an unsolved problem.
The unique variables and path dependencies that each org has blocking their path towards realizing their business goals mean that team alignment and speed of execution are two areas that winning teams really seem to excel at.
At this stage in my career, I'm most interested in having the biggest impact on others' lives as I can. Sitting in the audience, I could see it happening in real time while watching Natasha Post and Venkata Pagadala do their first big talks. I'm so proud of you both.
My dream for The SEO Community is to create a kinder, more helpful SEO industry where we're all treated with kindness and respect as practitioners.
I had moment after moment at the conference where I got to see how I'd impacted folks, kind of like ripples of impact rippling outward, and I got to say, it made me really, really content.
It was incredible to see our Clubhouse crew and Bash hosts come together to throw another epic party:
Our partners make this party happen every year. We owe so much gratitude to our headline sponsor, Garrett French at Citation Labs, and some pretty awesome companies that make the bash such a spectacular night each year:
The Bash is just the tip of the iceberg. It makes the rest of the week that much more easy to connect one on one with folks – because we've already partied together.
This year, we held a small dinner at Puesta with Noriaki Ito from Amethyst, and Ray Grieselhuber from Demandsphere (AI search visibility and intelligence). Ray and I go way back, and he's always been an avid supporter of the Community. It was an incredible evening to be able to co-host this event with our amazing sponsors, and get to know Nori and Alisa from Amethyst.
Amethyst is a super interesting tool to me because it's the first I've seen amongst AI analytics tools that can analyze data at the session level. Give it a try:
