Competitor's Photo is Showing on Google Business Profile: Why?

Hi everyone. I have a question. In the Google Business Profile for my client, a photo of their competitor is being displayed. Inside the Google Business Profile, this photo is not among our uploaded images, meaning it’s being pulled from somewhere else.
 
When I look at it, it shows the company logo. But when my client views it, it displays the logo of their competitor.
 
So... WTF? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @claudia Can you give me any advice? Because… well, the only thing that comes to my mind is to start posting various photos there now, hoping that they might somehow overtake it.

Hi @mika yeah i'm reaploading logo etc in a higher quality RIGHT NOW literally. Previous was super small etc so MAYBE for who knows reasons Google pick competitor. Just a wild guess.

I'm in US and didn't change location for the search FWIW. Google wanted to force me to the Project Management Institute which is well known here on search. Could have been some kind of entity issue.

Localization of search to the US based entity from organic search. I had to add "dublin" to get it to recognize my intent.

@sunlucenttrend from what I understand the issue can only be duplicated if I were to use a vpn and place myself in your area. It also only affects UK not us. Where are you located? I believe it’s a cache issue

Even if you replace the source of the photo it won’t fix itself. We tried that. It was pulling a image from the website and even after it was removed the wrong image stayed as the cover photo

Can you share location of where you are when the wrong logo appears?

Ireland only. Any other locations works as should be. Specifically Dublin to be precise.

What is the situation of schema for the client?
 
Make sure you provide a Logo image for the corporation or organization. Make sure it is provided in high quality.
 
I have also seen success in providing images in three aspect ratios, 4:3, 16:9 and 1:1.
