Is It Safe to Launch a Website Redesign During a Core Update?

Question:

Hey guys, is it safe to launch a website redesign (completely revamped code, updated content, but the same URLs) right now, in the middle of a core update? Or should I rather wait until it's complete?

Answer:

Just launch when/if it's ready. A core update is based on data from a longer time-period. There's nothing in there which will affect a new site since there's no data for a new site.
