What are the most useful ways to parse a podcast into interesting, useful blog content afterward?
I think a straight up transcript so often misses the mark…
Thoughts? Best practices?

Pull the Key takeaways and create a content around. Also publish the whole transcript and do internal link these keywords takeaways content.
More useful way is to create YT shorts on key takeaways.

I’d start by exporting the transcript and then adding in any additional details, graphics, videos, and linking that would be needed. That’s what I’ve done in the past if I’ve wanted to take a YouTube video I’ve created and make it a blog post.

Agree with @Christian McIlwain, @Jeremy Rivera . I've had the best success in taking the transcript, but then also feeding in some manual notes (takeaways) and even the luma page that stores the main items we'd talk about in promoting the event. It helps to direct the model towards what you actually want to see as output.
Secondly, using user-assistant pairs is very helpful too (not as complicated as it sounds!)
And thirdly, given you mentioned video/podcast, lately I've been using something to return for me the key timestamps from a podcast / video, which lets me or an editor snip up the important moment much more easily.
Happy to share a workflow with you all that's been working for me!

@Eoin Clancy can you make me smarter about the user-assistant pairs? I'm not sure I follow what that means.

Wow, thanks for the video explanation! I was originally wondering if the "assistants" was referring to the OpenAI assistants. I wish I hadn't missed the webinar today, but time zone....

No problem. We have many recaps of our own webinars on , but just let me know if there's something in particular that would be helpful

i like using quotes from the podcasts in future articles and then linking back to the original podcast / video

Any specific saas tools that help save time solving the, “I want to chop up my hour into shorts and not spend 10 hours doing it,” problem?

I asked asked how they cut the clips for a while back. They said descript "create highlights reel" and then some editing - didn't say exactly what they edited though, might be some of the stock video in it.
