What I think is missing in the "just rank in Bing" is that it's not like a 1:1 and that also ChatGPT has their own separate set of data about sites, brands, and presents this very differently
I think there has to be a shift in content strategy (away from trying to rank for informational terms) and fighting more for the commercial high intent questions that people are asking.
Totally agree with that. But I think a lot of people reading will still want to know more about the data sources they should be focusing on. Adding a table of sources likely to be affiliated with the top chat services under this line, "Track which services rely on which data sources in order to out-distribute and outrank your competitors." would be awesome IMO.
Might also be helpful to specifically address in that section what you just told me (that screenshot would be an awesome addition).
Also I think some of the advice around ranking for Bing might be less about showing up in the native chatgpt answers and more showing up in chatgpt search which I think leverages Bing right?
