Does anyone know of a comprehensive resource where I can find all the patents Google has filed related to Google Search? I've been using , but I’m finding it difficult to filter specifically for all patents related to their search technology.
If you have any suggestions or know of a compilation, I’d really appreciate your help. I’m working on pre-training an LLM using Llama-Adapter to break down the intricacies of Google's search algorithm based on these patents. If that works, hopefully we can have a better understanding of the algo.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks a lot! But it looks like there are only a handful of them and some even outdated. I would assume there should be thousands of these patents that make up the search algo.

So what I am doing: I subscribed to all patents from Google and Microsoft for which I get a weekly mail. I scan those headlines for anything that interests me.
That said: It’s really complex topic and I would argue that reading patents doesn’t help you to understand the whole search algo.
• not every algo used by Google is covered by a patent issued to Google
• not every patent issued to Google is used in the search algo
Patents can help you better understand the mindset of search engineers but they probably won’t help you to be significantly more successful with your website. At least that is what I can tell you after doing SEO for over 20 years now.

oh and maybe my link was causing confusion. Here is a link to “all” (78.503) patents by Google:

This is awesome!
And I completely agree—most patents don’t really reveal much about Google’s search engine, and it’s clear they aren’t publicly disclosing the critical tech.
However, every now and then, I stumble upon a patent that really makes sense.
So the idea behind this drill is to compile all the relevant patents, feed them into an LLM so we can easily filter the ones that actually matter.
Thanks a lot for your help again!

Tried something like this: .
Search and read the full text of patents from around the world with Google Patents, and find prior art in our index of non-patent literature.
